Chad Wheeler

Executive Minister

 

Chad has been a minister at Carpenter's Church since 2007. His primary responsibilities include pastoral leadership and administration. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Text from Lubbock Christian University and is currently completing a M.A. in Global Service from Abilene Christian University. He is also the current President of the South Plains Homeless Consortium.

Chase Smith

Community Life Minister

 

Chase joined the team in July 2014. As a college student he began attending Carpenter's in 2012. He oversees the activities of the Community Center where he offers a wide range of support and assistance to our community. Chase is supported as a missionary by South Plains Church of Christ. He holds a B.A. in Missions from Lubbock Christian University.

Jaime Wheeler

Housing First Director & Community Resource Assistant

 

Jaime has been a part of the Carpenter's Community since 2006 and became a staff member in 2011. Jaime holds an MLSW from LCU. She oversees the Housing First program and serves the community as our resource specialist. She enjoys the adventure of living life with the people around her.

James "Heavy" Dupree

Community Center Manager

 

Heavy has been a member of Carpenter's Church since 1998. He grew up in Lubbock on the east side and knows the culture and life of our community well. Heavy is a man of peace and is a beloved mentor to many in our community. He has been serving as the Community Center Manager since 2011.

Jocelyn Wiebe

Director of Development

 

Jocelyn and her husband, Mark, have been members of Carpenter's since 2013. She has worked in development and fundraising for over 10 years at nonprofits throughout Texas and Ohio. Her primary responsibilities at Carpenter's include fundraising and event planning. She is also a theater director and teacher with degrees from Abilene Christian University and Ohio University.

Luke Merrick

Associate Minister of Community Life

 

Luke joined the team in January 2014. He is originally from Tauranga, New Zealand. As a missionary apprentice in the AIM program, Luke served in Guadalajara, Mexico. He spends most of his time in the community center offering pastoral care and teaching classes.

Paige Carroll

Ministry & Administrative Assistant

 

Originally from Lubbock, Paige joined the team in 2014 after serving as a missionary apprentice in the AIM program in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is currently a student at South Plains College. She spends the majority of her time serving in Community Center and assists part-time with administrative duties.

Taneika Stewart

Office Manager

 

Taneika joined the team in the summer of 2016. She has a background in Housing and Social Services and is currently completing her BA in Business from West Texas A&M.  She has two boys that keep her busy and enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors.
